Websites for the people
who actually build things.

We started Toolbox Marketing Co. because we got tired of watching plumbers, electricians, and contractors get quoted $3,000 to $10,000 for websites that took three months and looked like everyone else's. You shouldn't need a marketing degree to have a professional website.

For the Trades, By People Who Get It

Trade contractors are the backbone of every neighborhood.

When the pipe bursts, the AC dies, or the roof leaks, you're the person people call. Your skill keeps homes running. But when those same homeowners search Google before calling, most of you don't show up — or worse, your old site makes you look smaller than you are.

You don't have time to learn WordPress.

You have time to do the actual work — install panels, run drains, build decks, troubleshoot HVAC. Not to wrestle with a website builder at 9 PM after a 12-hour day. The big web agencies know this and charge accordingly. We think that's backwards.

A website should cost what a tool subscription costs.

We build it, host it, secure it, update it, and back it up. You pay a flat monthly fee — the same way you'd pay for any software tool you actually use. No surprise charges. No three-month "discovery phases." No agency-speak.

Two People. Forty-Plus Years.

Twenty-plus years of marketing experience apiece. No outsourced labor pretending otherwise.

Matthew Simmonds

Co-founder · Web & Digital Marketing

Fourteen years across digital marketing, brand strategy, and project management. Most recently, Marketing Project Manager at Grip Edge Tools — yes, actual tools, sold to actual contractors — where he ran a four-person team (graphic designer, web developer, social, SEO) and grew product sales 30% by figuring out which industries the products actually fit best.

Before that, he architected websites and lead-capture systems at Synzi (telehealth), QCare Plus (medical), and Gilla Inc. (consumer goods) — handling everything from layout and graphic design to Salesforce CRM integration and Google Analytics. He's the one who builds your site, sets up your hosting, configures your security, and makes sure the contact form actually emails you when somebody fills it out.

"My job is to make the technical stuff invisible. You should never have to think about DNS, SSL, or 'why isn't my site coming up on Google.'"

Joshua Bindon

Co-founder · Brand & PR Strategy

Twenty-plus years of global public relations with Disney on Ice (Feld Entertainment) — which means he's spent his career figuring out how to take a brand most people already recognize and make it feel new again every single time it rolls into a city. He's hosted live events for audiences over 10,000, run market-specific PR campaigns in over 50 countries, and trained casts and crews on how to actually represent a brand in front of cameras.

He earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude, 4.0) from Southern New Hampshire University while still on tour. He's the one who figures out what makes your business different from the other three plumbers in town, and how to say that on a homepage in a way that actually sounds like a human wrote it.

"Every contractor I've ever met has a story — how they got their first big job, why they hate cutting corners, what they actually care about. That story is the website. The pretty design is just the frame around it."
